My life is a disaster in the most beautiful of ways~
I am officially 2 months down in my new home and I can honestly say a lot has changed for me this month. The last couple of months had been relatively uneventful up until this point, but now I can finally see myself beginning to adjust and find my place…even if it is only temporarily. Anyway, here is a little bit about what I’ve accomplished this month:
- I got a job (finally)
- I got a boyfriend (unexpectedly but yay)
- I have met a few nice people at work
- I have kept in touch with my NY friends
- I went to an aquarium
- I went for a hike
- I started taking a stretching class every Monday
I am definitely nowhere near having my shit fully together, but I have made some really good progress! Plus I actually have a lot to share in terms of reaching my goals last month! I did find a job, maintained a relatively decent work out schedule (but I want to do more), been eating pretty decently whenever possible, saw the new Spider-man with my new friend, Nate, tried a lot of new food and went some new places with my boyfriend, Sam, and I am working on giving a bit more diversity to my blog content! Overall, I am actually proud of myself this month!
And I think, because I have accomplished so much this month, I am going to be a bit more ambitious with my goals…at least a little maybe! I want to keep pushing myself outside of my box and trying to get truly adjusted here:
- Get back into the gym
- Take a day trip
- Finish a book
- Hang out with someone besides Nate and Sam
- Make the most of my trip to NY next week
- Get comfortable at work
- Start browsing apartment areas
- Get more comfortable driving
- Make a new friend
I know that it’s a lot, but I would be content to even check off a couple of things! I think I am realizing that my #1 goal of 2019 is just to be happy overall. I know that I can’t be happy 24/7 but I want the overwhelming majority of my life to feel content and happy.
So I know this was relatively short, but I feel like I’ve said all I’ve needed to! Happy almost August!
Jess~
