Taking care of yourself doesn’t have to be hard or boring~
Fall is a unique time of year. The leaves are changing and the whole world seems to change. There is a plethora of new snacks to try, activities go experience, and fashions to wear. But sometimes with so much change comes a lot of stress.
Taking time for self-care is super important at any point in the year, but I figured I would share some of my favorite autumn self-care ideas.
-
Take a hike- nature is gorgeous this time of year, so take a look around. Find a nice place where the leaves are changing and get outside for a walk or read a good book. Being outside is a great form of self-care and keeps you grounded.
-
Grab your favorite fall snack- I love cider and cider donuts! Whenever I need a fall style pick me up, I gravitate towards things that are spiced and apple flavored. If a PSL makes you smile, then grab one and relax.
- Let Go- Fall is the perfect time to let go of dead things. Get rid of things that don’t serve you to allow room for new growth.
- Get crafty- Paint a pumpkin, sketch the trees, write poetry about the weather. Fall is a time filled with inspiration, use to in your self-care.
- Take advantage of bad weather- summer often pressures you yo go out and do things, but fall offers a break. With rainy days comes excuses to stay in and relax. Use them.
-
Get festive- I relax by getting into the fall spirit. I bake cookies, watch movies, and decorate during self-care days because it takes my mind off my stress and anxiety, and puts it onto fun things.
How do you take care of yourself in the fall?
Your photos are lovely! I really agree with using the autumn weather to your advantage – not feeling like you have to go out really gives you time to recharge and energise yourself. Thanks for sharing!

Great advise…additional I think a nice soup with seasonal heartiness will work wonders.
