Celebrating the first night of Hanukkah with a little solo pamper night!

First of all, Happy first night of Hanukkah to my fellow Jews (I’m half Jewish and I freaking love Hanukkah)! So in honor of 8 awesome nights of celebration (and the holiday season as a whole), I figured I would share my personal night routine for the perfect holiday season night in!

My perfect night in starts right when I walk in from work. When I get home, I immediately go upstairs and change into a nice comfy outfit or even some festive PJ’s to get myself feeling nice and cozy.  I opted for a My Neighbor Totoro onesie on this particular night because onesies are extra comfortable on a chillier winter night. Then I try to cook myself dinner or eat whatever my mom decides to cook (perks of living at home) or whatever is in the house. Tonight, I got in the Hanukkah spirit and enjoyed some leftover pot roast and latkes from pre-Hanukkah dinner the other night with my family. My Nanny makes the best latkes (I mean, everyone thinks their Nanny makes the best latkes, am I right?)

After I eat and clean up, I like to go into the bathroom to wash my face and put on a face mask. I really love the purifying mud mask from the brand Que Bella that they sell at Target. They are super cheap and you can get more than one use out of a single little packet and they have tons of different styles and scents of masks to try if a mud mask isn’t for you! Plus, overall, I find the formula to be quite good and gentle on the face.

While the mask sits on my face, I usually search for a show or movie or YouTube videos to start watching. Around this time of year, I tend to gravitate towards holiday movies or watching some vlogmas videos on YouTube but sometimes I like to switch things up and binge a bit of a show to relax.

Another thing I like to do when I am having a pamper night alone is turn on my twinkle lights. I feel like they give my room a super homey feel and the blue glow of the lights I have over my window is super relaxing.

After I wash my mask off and finish whatever I am watching, I decided to end my night with a little meditation and enjoying the scent of my holiday candles. My favorite candles for the season are Twisted Peppermint and Fresh Balsam from Bath and Body Works.

The holidays can be super stressful, but enjoying nights in helps you recharge and take on the season like a champ!
