Going back to the basics with a simple OOTD~
This week has been an incredibly long week with countless work tasks, yoga training assignments, and social obligations to uphold. I decided that I would take today’s blog a bit easy on myself and grab some shots for a good, old fashioned, OOTD (outfit of the day for any newcomers to fashion blogging)
Since today is the first day of Fall, I found that it would be a great occasion to get myself in the mood with a cozy (and slightly weather inappropriate) outfit to ring in the new season!
Dress // H&M
Boots // Target (I think?)
Choker // Forever 21
Tights // Kohls
Fall is my favorite seasons for deep, rich colors, specifically warm tones as well as very earthy and deep cool tones. On this day, I chose to go with a dark olive with a bit of, what appears to be navy plaid, because I feel like it just gives really natural feel.
The dress also has pockets which is 10000000% a plus! Any dress or skirt with pockets is so much better than one without. I also feel like the booties were a great addition to the outfit because they are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I own, but still look like I put in some extra effort and care choosing my footwear. ((As a yogi, I personally set out to find fashionable shoes that treat my feet right so I don’t have to practice with blisters))
I chose to dress this up with a simple choker with some crystals at the end because 1) I love crystals and 2) I think this choker gave this outfit a more laid back feel. Since this outfit is so simple, how you dress it up is what really determines how dressy it is. On a day I want this to be a bit more dressy, I may choose something like a statement necklace in order to make the outfit feel more put together and to bring a little chicness into the earthy feel.
Overall, I find this outfit to be incredibly versatile and comfortable for a warmer Fall day. The outfit is also really great to build off of which is sure to make it a Fall staple for me this year!
Happy Fall~
Jess~
