Been thinking about where I want to go…both literally and figuratively.
When confronted with the question of what I want to do with my life, I often hesitate to find one clear cut answer. However, I have tried to pin down a few keep ideas that really resonate with me when I look into my future. I have found that my wanderlust and desire for freedom have really taken over my future visions in that I often don’t view my future in one place.
It is funny actually, I am probably moving next year and I am DREADING it, but after that move I honestly have no issues working remotely and vagabonding around the country. I think that once I break this attachment to my home life and the comfort of living where I have always lived, I will be more comfortable moving about and remaining unattached.
My biggest dream right now is to buy and renovate an old airstream to travel around the country with a close friend or significant other, and a dog. I think this dream was brought on by a late night rabbit hole trip through YouTube RV and Airstream videos.
I also think it was brought on by my need for freedom. I often feel so trapped by the expectations of a typical 9-5 career that I try to think of ways to break that cycle and pave my own path. And I feel like I have really been motivated by people who are just like me. I found these YouTubers called The Jurgys and they are a small family of 3, a husband, wife, and infant traveling the entire country with a small film crew to document the experience as they leave treasures to encourage others to explore.
What draws me to them is that they are just regular people and they are living the same dream I hope to see myself living one day. As of now, I have been to 13 of the 50 states in the USA and would love to see all 50, which includes re-exploring some of my lesser explored previous destinations.
I also have a really great blogging idea that pertains to my dream, but I am going to keep it under wraps because I really hate talking about big ideas that might not pan out…plus I keep my best ideas secret until I have something to show!
Until then, just know I have some plans that I just need a little time to get sorted.
Jess~
I relate so much to this!
