Today is a hot chocolate kind of day~
So if you have read any of my fall blog posts, you will know that apple cider is my favorite hot beverage ever….but hot chocolate is my second and I am about to show my girl (or boy, not gonna assume hot chocolate’s gender) hot chocolate a little love! So with Christmas Eve right around the corner, I am showing you my two favorite ways to prepare my hot chocolate so you can cozy up with a warm cup and enjoy your family’s company!
1- Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate-
Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate is super yummy. When I first made it, I was super skeptical about the salt, but in moderation, it is amazing and I have no regrets. Plus, for some reason, salted caramel things make me feel like a classy adult woman who may not like coffee but enjoys putting salt in sweet beverages.
2- Peppermint Candy Cane Hot Chocolate-
This is Christmas in a mug. I love peppermint. I love peppermint flavored things and peppermint scented things and all things that could possibly be peppermint in any way. This cocoa is my go to drink for cuddling up by the fire and watching Christmas movies!
Overall, the recipe (like the previous one) is pretty simple! You take whatever hot chocolate you prefer and add peppermint! Easy peasy. I find peppermint oil to be a bit too strong so I modified my hot chocolate by using a peppermint candy cane or peppermint candy because it is a bit sweeter and super duper delicious…and probably really bad for you.

Once you grab your cup and get settled in, check out some of my other posts in my Blogmas series and follow for when I go back to my normal Tuesday, Friday, Sunday posting schedule after Christmas!
