Starting a blog/online diary has always been a goal for me since I started using writing as an outlet to contemplate and analyze new parts of life as I grow up and learn to take on the world I live in. However, I am a bit of a perfectionist which would be quite obvious if you were sitting here watching me type, then erase, then type, then erase just about every sentence I have written so far. So, with that being said, I have put off making a blog because I have always had issues with starting new things out of fear that I would not just magically be inherently good at them.
Nonetheless, I have finally decided that today is as good a day as any to start a blog and start sharing my writing in the hopes that even if no one ever reads it, I will somehow benefit from the experience.

So recently I have been thinking of life in terms of trips around the sun. We take one trip around the sun every year for our entire lives from the day we are born until the day we die. The whole concept is sort of profound and it really made me realize how small we are in the grand scheme of things. You are one individual on a relatively small, pale blue dot floating around a large ball of fire in the middle of a void. And although a year feels substantial with the amount that can happen, all a year really is is one trip around the sun.
The more time I spend thinking about this, the more I realize that I have no excuses for not enjoying the life I have and for making the most of every single day.That is why I have decided to challenge myself this year to make the changes I have been putting off and to push myself to do things i have never even imagined.

Each month I plan on giving myself 3 goals to complete within the month and then at the end of the month I will come on here and review my experiences. This is by no means an original idea. I have seen various people take on challenges very similar to this, which greatly inspired me to do it myself.
Since March will be my first month of this I will start with 3 goals for March:
- Try a spin class.
- Go to a unique museum or exhibition
- Take a trip somewhere new, even if it is for just a day
I will report back at the end of the month and let you know how everything went. But, until then, I still plan on trying to post as frequently as I see fit and if the mood strikes me.
