Being mindful of my mantras and making room for healing…
2022 has been the first year I’ve truly tried to “own” my healing. I am very much a fan of personal growth and ongoing improvement but it is not a common practice for me to really step into my power and take charge of my own healing. I have preached before that the mind is a powerful tool for manifestation and, while I have known this for a long while, I have never acted too firmly in accordance with proper manifestation practice.
Now, I am going to say something I’m sure everyone is tired of hearing but “I saw this thing on Tik Tok.” I learned about this affirmation that people had said they had seen results from and, while I am typically weary of believing people who say things “worked” for them on Tik Tok, I gave this one a shot.
I do not chase, I attract. What is meant for me will simply find me.
Now there is no otherworldly magic in affirmations, but that doesn’t mean they are not powerful. For me, the hard part wasn’t saying the affirmation, it was believing it. Words mean nothing if you don’t believe in what you’re saying.
And as time has progressed, I have moved beyond just this single affirmation and expended.
They needed it more than me. My time will come and I will shine brighter because I waited.
I added this affirmation in for my horrible tendency to compare myself to others and get down about opportunities I have no been gifted by the universe. I use this to ground me when I start to feel down about where I am at. Because sometimes someone does genuinely need it more. I am happy, healthy, and able to wait for my moment and am willing to let those who have been struggling and need the boost, take it. I know my time will come.
I do not need to be everything all at once to be worthy.
This affirmation is here for me whenever I worry about taking time to rest. My worth isn’t determined by my productivity or how quickly I move through life. My worth is determined by the kindness I give to others and myself. I am always worthy when I am kind.
So how does one begin creating and discovering affirmations for themselves? Well, I believe they come to you when you focus your energy on believing in your own infinite potential. I speak as though the things I want are already mine and that I know them to be true. I leave no room for them to be false and I don’t set the bar so high that I feel more discouraged than I do empowered.
Here are some examples to get you started writing your own mantras and affirmations:
- I am more than what makes me anxious.
- I have plenty of time to figure out who I am and meeting my higher-self will be with the energy and patience.
- Money flows to me effortlessly because I am abundant and capable.
- In order to receive good things, I intend to be good for them.
- I have the power to influence my reality with determination and focus.
- The success of others is not my personal failure. The universe has unique opportunities in store for me.
- I am not defined by my productivity. By resting, I am preparing myself for bigger things.
How will you own your healing?

“I am not defined by my productivity” is huuuge – I’m finally learning it’s okay to step away when I’m feeling burned out (and in all honesty, I’m not that productive when I’m feeling that way anyway!). This is such an inspiring roundup!

Thank you so much! I feel like when we place too much emphasis on out own productivity, we often push ourselves into the freeze portion of fight/flight/freeze. At least that’s what I do. When I tell myself I’m not doing enough, I do even less due to the anxiety around trying.
