Summer is back and so is Fashion Friday~
It has been quite a while since my last post, so I thought today being the first day of summer would be a great time to jump back in with a quick OOTD!
Dress // H&M
Shoes // Charlotte Russe
Headband // Charming Charlies
So, one of my goals in evolving my fashion sense this year was to get better at accessorizing because I always skip out on accessories out of sheer laziness. However, I recently took a trip over to Charming Charlies and picked up this head scarf headband as part of their semi-annual clearance sale and made it my mission to wear it as often as I can and not let it just sit around and collect dust.
The headband is really great because it is neutral and helps tie this look together because the dress is pretty busy. I got this dress from H&M over 3 years ago and never really gave it the proper wear so, when I saw it in my closet today, I decided to bust it out. It is really a great dress because it is incredibly light-weight without being see-through and it is really flattering on. It shows off the shape of my body without clinging and the tie around the waist helps give the garment a bit of shape. Plus, I love the color palette.
These shoes from Charlotte Russe are also relatively old, but they are some of my favorite summer shoes. I even have another pair of them in brown. I wear them almost every day. They give the look of sandals while being closed toe which means I can get away without a pedicure, plus they are really comfortable (after quite a bit of breaking in).
