Summer Blogging Goals

The summer is a perfect time to regroup and make some new goals!

Since I started June talking about my health and fitness goals, I thought it would be nice to keep with the goal theme this week and talk a bit about what I hope to do with my blog this summer. You see, the past few months have been really tough on my blogging schedule with so much going on surrounding my move, job hunting, and working remotely with my old job. With so much to balance, I haven’t been able to produce the kind of content I would like to and it has left me craving some new goals to set.

So, without further introduction, here are some of my summer blogging goals for this year:

  • Exploring Charlotte- I have not gotten to know Charlotte enough to call it “home” yet necessarily, but I would still love to continue my Exploring Home in a new way. When I created the series, I used it as a way to appreciate the things I enjoyed at home every day. However, I haven’t exactly developed an “every day” here yet so this series will focus more on me creating my new everyday and discovering some of the fun and exciting things that the Charlotte area, and North Carolina as a whole, have to offer me.
  • The Return of Chef of Earth- Out of all of my blogging goals, I have always considered this to be the most ambitious. I really want to get back into my cooking series little by little because I really love cooking and baking, but found it to be cramped at my old house because the kitchen was sort of small and I didn’t have the room to create food content in the way I’d like. I also find myself being too lazy to cook and bake sometimes, and I want to break the laziness and actually cook more than ramen noodles (haha).
  • Health and Fitness Updates- I think I can hold myself accountable for my health and fitness goals if I give regular updates on here. I haven’t thought of a series name yet, but I would like to be able to talk a bit about the milestones and challenges of getting in the groove of a healthier lifestyle.
  • Engage and Collaborate- I would love to get back into being involved in the blogging community. I would love to collaborate with other bloggers who enjoy writing about similar things to me and also just get to know my audience a bit more. Overall, my most important goal moving forward is just remaining consistent and getting ahead of my posting schedule. Blogging is something I view to be incredibly cathartic and it has done a lot to help me vent in this stressful period of my life. However, I really care about remaining consistent with what I post and how often I post, so getting ahead in my content creation will really be a big help moving forward.
