Life gives you pennies, turn them into dimes, I’m in the middle of starting over ~ Sabrina Carpenter

It has been a bit since I sat down and wrote down a real “update” post. I have written a few posts about my current writing struggles, but I haven’t really pulled together a full post about myself in a while.

I was thinking about content for July and had this idea for a mini-series about my journey with self-care. Seeing that I have been stressed lately and have a lot going on, I figured that taking the time for self-care and documenting it along the way may help myself and others who choose to read. You see, when life gets busy, I often forget to do basic self-care tasks like taking relaxing showers, putting on makeup, or talking to people when I am feeling down.

That is why, one post every week this July will be dedicated to my new series “My Month in Self-Care”. The goal of the month is to try new forms of self-care every week and see what works for me. I have a gift certificate to an aerial yoga class and some sessions at a salt room, and I have a lot of fitness and health goals I would like to achieve. My shelf is also overflowing with books that are partially start that I want to make my way through.

I’m hoping that the series will not only be a place for me to document my journey, but also inspire others and give ideas to new self-care activities. This is the most excited I’ve been for a new idea in a while so I am really looking forward to July so I can get started writing!

If you have any ideas of new methods of self-care I should try then let me know in the comments! If you choose to join in on the month of self-care yourself, then tag me in your posts so I can see them. I want to use this series as an opportunity to not only take care of myself, but get to know my audience a bit better!
