Even the most beautiful flowers need water and sunlight to grow…
Nothing in life can grow without a little help. Growth is not a solely independent process; it is dependent on how well you work with whatever you have.
Beautiful flowers have been found in driest of deserts and the darkest and densest rainforests. They may not have a lot of water to grow or a lot of light to reach towards but they grow anyway. Why is that?
Because they’ve learned to work with what they have. They’ve learned to adapt. They’ve learned that there isn’t always going to be an abundance of what they need and they didn’t let that stop them.
So, why can’t people be the same way? Why can’t we learn to deal without and grow even when we lack the sunlight and water to do so? Fear mostly. If we don’t have a big enough push to grow, we stay in our comfortable corner for the rest of forever. Tiny potted plants who could grow so much bigger but are too reluctant to try. We should want to grow big and strong and tall and mighty and beautiful, but we are afraid that we are not strong enough to make it on our own.
But, the thing is, we are. We are more than strong enough to grow in dark and dismal places. We are more than capable to anchor our roots down with even the tiniest bit of water. If we are patient and learn to use every last drop of what the universe gives us we can do so much more than we could ever imagine!
When the world doesn’t give you enough, make due and show it what you’re made of. Sometimes nothing will ever be enough, so stop waiting around for the prime time to grow because the prime time is now. Life doesn’t wait for you to be prepared, it keeps moving, and if you don’t catch up you’ll be left behind, a tiny potted plant in the corner.
I was a tiny plant, but now I am a wild flower~
